Premier League Betting Preview

The final Premier League weekend of the season will be something of an anti-climax seeing as virtually everything has already been settled, although the media will try and make the race for a top four spot exciting.

Manchester City and Liverpool are in the box seat to pip Arsenal, with the latter facing Everton in their last match and the Gunners are 8/15 (Sky Bet) to claim a victory which is likely not to be enough.

The Toffees are 6/1 (BetVictor) to leave the Emirates with a maximum haul, while their Merseyside counterparts are no bigger than 1/6 (bet365) to record three points against a relegated Middlesbrough side.

Manchester City head to Vicarage Road and BetVictor make them 2/5 to finish the season with a victory which will bank a Champions League spot for Pep Guardiola. However, Watford came close to drawing with Chelsea on Monday and they’re 19/5 (Stan James) to land a point from this one.

Champions Chelsea are 1/6 (Sky Bet) to beat Championship-bound Sunderland, although a more dangerous accumulator pick could be Manchester United at odds of even money (William Hill).

The Red Devils play Ajax in the Europa League final next week and Crystal Palace come into the game after a 4-0 battering of Hull. The Eagles are 14/5 (Paddy Power) to win the clash and have previously won at Chelsea and Liverpool.

Burnley look a good bet at 29/20 (BetVictor) to win against an off-colour West Ham side, with Tottenham available at 4/6 (Stan James) to claim the spoils at the KCom Stadium against a Hull City side whose fate was sealed at Selhurst Park when losing 4-0.

The Tigers are 9/2 (Sky Bet) to end the season on a high note with a victory in what is essentially a dead rubber and the same label can be given to the match between Southampton and Stoke.

However, the Saints are strongly fancied to win at odds of 4/5 (William Hill), with Claude Puel’s side looking to finish with a flourish against a Potters side who have finished the season badly. The visitors are chalked up at 17/4 (BetVictor) to get a win on the south coast.

Swansea will be celebrating in front of their own fans after staying alive in the top flight last week and the Welsh club are 11/10 favourites (William Hill) to beat a West Brom side who are ambling towards the finishing line.

The Baggies are 3/1 (BetVictor) for an end-of-season victory and perhaps the two teams will play out an entertaining draw which can be backed at 13/5 (Stan James).

Leicester City are also favourites for a win (37/40 BetVictor) when they clash with Bournemouth in their final match, with the Cherries full of goals for most of the campaign and they are available at 16/5 (Ladbrokes) to pull off a surprise win.
