A useful handicap hurdler – particularly in the first half of last season – VALHALLA (4:00) is fancied to win a competitive looking novices’ chase at Stratford this afternoon.
Placed in a couple of decent contests at Cheltenham, he made his chase debut in a hot handicap at Newbury on New Year’s Eve, after which he was successful over hurdles at Taunton.
Back up to a more suitable trip, the seven-year-old is a former winning Irish pointer and is very much worth another chance over fences.
