Paul Ferguson has three selections for us on Sunday at both Fairyhouse and Carlisle. | Free Bets |
Despite conceding experience to some of his rivals, ROMEO COOLIO (2:05) should be hard to beat in the Drinmore Novice Chase. A smart novice hurdler last season, he has long looked like a chaser in waiting and jumped well (for all that fences were omitted) at Down Royal.
Earlier on the card, I’m looking forward to seeing the Irish debut of NARCISO HAS (12:35) who really impressed when winning at Auteuil. Physically, an imposing individual, he can win the Grade 3 juvenile for Willie Mullins and JP McManus.
Domestically, JUBY BALL (12:45) is fancied to win the beginners’ chase at Carlisle. Unbeaten in two starts over hurdles, his form continues to work out well and with Evan Williams in good form, the six-year-old can make a winning return on his favoured soft ground.
Sunday’s selections:
12:35 Fairyhouse – Narciso Has; 11/10 Betfred
12:45 Carlisle – Juby Ball; 10/11 William Hill
2:05 Fairyhouse – Romeo Coolio; 4/9 Bet365
