The contest is a free to enter fantasy football picks contest based on tipsters predicting match results (home [1] draw [X] away [2]) throughout the competition between June 7th and 29th 2008.

HOW THE TIPPING COMPETITION WORKS The competition is free to enter. However you must register using the from below and submit your details in order to take part.
The competition is open to anyone as long as you are over 18 but is restricted to one mythical betting account per person and two per household.
All contestants start the competition with a fictional betting account of £1000 with betrescue.com.
Enter any time whilst the competition is on - the final takes place on the 29th June 2008.
You can only place your mythical bet: home [1] draw [X] away [2] on the matches using Blue Square prices as shown in the odds table below. Results are based on 90 minutes. Postponed or abandoned matches are void.
The maximum 'bet' on each match is £100 GBP and the minimum £10 GBP.
You can only make one selection per match but you can ‘bet’ on as a many or as few matches as you wish throughout the tournament.
If your account goes into the red you will be disqualified. Remember, the competition lasts for the three weeks so choose your selections wisely!
SCORING
The best tipsters will be those considered to ‘win’ the most money from their selections. Scoring is calculated in exactly the same way as it does with a bookmaker.
Eg. the Odds on Switzerland V Czech Republic are: 1 = 9/5; X = 11/5; 2 = 13/8, and you successfully choose to Stake ‘£100’ on the draw, your betrescue.com account will be credited with £220 or if you successfully selected Switzerland to win, a stake of £100 would return a profit of £180.
