Live on Skysports 2: Tues 19.45: Arsenal are 10/11 (888Sport) to beat Everton in a crucial Premier League clash and the Gunners can nick it.
The title race is about done and dusted, two of the three relegation places are as good as sorted but where the battle to finish in the top four is concerned, it’s still very much in the balance and if Everton pick up maximum points at Arsenal, things will really hot up.
The Toffees, bet365’s 7/2 outsiders, head to the Emirates Stadium in cracking form having picked up 13 points from their last five matches but they come up against a Gunners side in equally impressive shape and that, combined with home advantage, means Arsene Wenger’s men are odds-on at 10/11 (888Sport) to secure a fifth straight league win.
Bwin chalk 14/5 against a stalemate and that will prove popular given that the pair shared the spoils in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park and Everton grabbed a point against Spurs on their last visit to North London, just over a week ago.
However, in recent meetings between the two it’s Arsenal that have enjoyed the upper hand winning eight of the last eleven renewals and drawing the other three so psychologically they undoubtedly have the advantage. The Gunners have to be favoured then and 888Sport quote them at a generous 3/1 to shade an entertaining contest by a one-goal margin.
David Moyes’s charges have to go for it really as their hopes of sneaking into the top four will effectively be dashed if they lose. Subsequently a match tally of three or more goals is a banker at 8/11 via Stan James and with that in mind, the same bookie’s 17/2 for a 2-1 home win isn’t without appeal.
