Tues 19.45: Cardiff (3/4, bet365) should beat Charlton to gain promotion in the Championship while Leeds & Watford can also win.
Championship leaders Cardiff are on the verge of promotion following the 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend and indeed the Bluebirds will secure Premier League football for next season if they avoid defeat at home to Charlton.
Bet365 rate the South Wales outfit at 3/4 to clinch promotion with a victory at the Cardiff City Stadium and with that top flight dangling before them, Malky Mackay’s charges have to be fancied.
Leeds moved up to the safety of mid-table at the weekend, coming from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road and the Whites’ strength at home makes them decent value at 6/4 courtesy of BetVictor to see off Burnley.
The Clarets have won just one of their last seven as their season winds down and with a poor recent record against Brian McDermott’s troops they’re easy to oppose in this one.
Finally, Watford have racked up an impressive eleven away victories this season, a record matched only by Hull and the Hornets can pick up yet another travelling success as they travel to Millwall.
KennY Jackett has a huge job to do to pick up his side after their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Wigan at Wembley, a match marred by trouble within the Lions support and with that loss still fresh in the memory it’s easy to see them suffering another reverse, at the hands of the promotion-chasing visitors (6/4, William Hill).
