Runner-up at Newbury last month Construct (3:30) is fancied to go one better in what looks a weaker event at Pontefract this afternoon.
Ralph Beckett’s three-year-old came from off the pace to chase home an in-form rival last time and conditions will be similar here (mile-and-a-half on quick ground).
Frustratingly upped 4lbs for that defeat, he still looks on a mark from which he can win and the stable have been in good form of late (4 winners from 17 runners since Thursday).
