Jamie Snowden has had his string in fine order in the opening weeks of the new National Hunt season and his Some Day Soon (2:00) can make the long journey north to Kelso a worthwhile one.
The six-year-old had some good form in the book in defeat from last season, and duly got off the mark at Fontwell recently. This looks a good opportunity to make it back-to-back wins and keep up the good form of the stable.
Later on the card, Zakharova is one to note in the concluding mares’ bumper. Laura Morgan’s dual winner has to carry a double penalty and faces some nice mares on paper, notably two of the Nicky Richards runners, Highland Gold and Kitty Hall. This could be a decent race of its type and is worth watching with the future in mind.
