Skybet Championship Preview
The bookies have assembled their outright betting odds for the 2021-22 Championship season and it’s Fulham who head the market, with Marco Silva having recently taken charge at Craven Cottage. The London side have the parachute payment from last season’s stint in the Premier League and they are a best price 6/1 with BetVictor to win the title.

As always, the Championship betting market is wide open and West Brom are another relegated club who are prominent, with the Baggies having recruited Valerien Ismael from Barnsley and the Frenchman’s remit is to deliver the Midlands club back to the top flight. They are an 8/1 poke with bet365 to seal the deal in style.

Sheffield United are the third relegated side who have the credentials for an immediate return, with the Blades retaining the nucleus of the squad that operated in the Premier League last season and they have Slavisa Jokanovic at the wheel. Perhaps they are the best value of all at 9/1 with Betfred to be crowned champions.

As for the remaining teams, Bournemouth could be worth an each-way interest at 10/1 with Ladbrokes considering that Scott Parker defected to the Cherries from Fulham, with the squad having underperformed last season due to the quality of their squad. The Dorset club lost to Brentford in the play-offs last term and will be unbowed.

Swansea City have hit the play-offs in the past two seasons under Steve Cooper and it appears that the manager is remaining at the Liberty Stadium in a bid to make it third time lucky next season. Coral have 14/1 about the Welsh side, while Cardiff are also in a similar price bracket and you can get 16/1 with William Hill that Mick McCarthy’s side triumph.

There are lots of experienced managers in the Championship and that includes Chris Hughton who has steered Brighton to promotion and he’s looking to do the same with Nottingham Forest, with the Tricky Trees available at 16/1 with Boylesports to secure top spot and return to the big time.

Next in the betting come Middlesbrough who have Neil Warnock steering the ship and he is another manager with a promotion on his track record, with the veteran coach having a strong track record over several decades and the Teeside club are a 16/1 poke to secure the title.

Skybet League One Preview
We’re counting down to the 2021-22 League One season, with several clubs hoping to secure promotion to the Championship by the time it comes around to May. There are several high-profile outfits and that includes Sheffield Wednesday who were unable to avoid relegation to the English third tier after getting a points deduction to hamper their cause.

The Owls are still managed by Darren Moore, with Betfred chalking up 8/1 that the well-supported Yorkshire club secure the League One title, although the manager has a rebuilding job on his hands and Wednesday might need a season of adjustment before they’re ready to bounce back.

Perhaps the time is right for Sunderland to make a concerted promotion push, with the Black Cats having been the perennial bridesmaid when it has come to the play-offs although manager Lee Johnson could well find the winning blend and a number of bookies have the Wearside team as favourites. Betfair have 13/2 that the fans finally have something to cheer about.

League One is far from a two-horse race and there are a number of interesting contenders, with Ipswich Town now managed by Paul Cook, with the Tractor Boys having underachieved with Paul Lambert, although his replacement has previously done well with Portsmouth and Wigan Athletic, with William Hill having 11/1 about a title success.

Charlton Athletic are another interesting contender and it appears they have recruited wisely to bring in Nigel Adkins to replace Lee Bowyer, with the former having previously achieved good things with Scunthorpe United and Southampton. Perhaps the Addicks are the best each-way wager of all and Coral have 11/1.

We’re also intrigued with regard to how well Portsmouth will fare next term, with Danny Cowley looking to resurrect his managerial career after a busted flush at Huddersfield and Pompey’s early recruitment hints at a concerted promotion challenge. Betfair have 11/1 that we see the south coast side have a stormer.

Cowley’s former club Lincoln City could also be in the mix after a strong 2020/21 season which saw the Red Imps top the division during the early part of the campaign and Michael Appleton has remained at Sincil Bank despite speculation that he might be moving upwards in his career. They’re a 14/1 poke with Paddy Power to scoop the League One title.

Skybet League Two Preview
There are four teams who will be promoted from League Two at the end of the 2021-22 season, with Salford City regarded as the side to beat by the bookies. We know that there’s some serious investment that has gone into the Manchester club, with William Hill offering 13/2 that Gary Bowyer steers them to a championship success.

However, the Ammies were only able to finish eighth in the table last season and Bristol Rovers are trading at a bigger 11/1 with bet365, with Joey Barton hoping to guide them back to League One at the first time of asking. The Gas are well-supported and it appears that Barton is being given the backing to create a competitive squad.

Every other team is trading at betting odds of 14/1 or bigger and that includes Forest Green Rovers who have been sniffing around the play-off places for the past few seasons. Rob Edwards’ side are a 14/1 poke with BetVictor and they will look to build on last term’s play-off exit at the hands of Morecambe.

Bradford City have been the subject of a summer gamble and that’s hardly a surprise considering that Derek Adams has opted to take charge of the Bantams after previously steering Morecambe to League One, with bet365 one of the few bookies now trading 14/1 about the Yorkshire side.

Exeter City are a 14/1 chance and the Grecians are another side who seem to regularly knock around the top eight without getting over the line, with Coral quoting that price and Mansfield are the same price with betfair. Nigel Clough will be confident of reshaping the squad to the extent that a top seven finish is landed as a bare minimum.

Tranmere Rovers should be an interesting runner considering Micky Mellon is back at the club following a one-year deal with Dundee United, with the Scot reshaping the squad and he previously steered the Wirral club to promotion the last time they were situated in League Two.

At a slightly bigger price, Northampton Town are 16/1 with Betfred and they have snaffled some of Tranmere’s former players, with Port Vale probably an interesting runner at 18/1 with Boylesports considering that Darrell Clarke had the Valiants playing some fantastic football towards the back end of the previous season.

Newport County are a 20/1 poke with bet365 and Mike Flynn has gotten desperately close with the Welsh club over the past few seasons, while Carlisle United are a 20/1 poke with BetVictor and Chris Beech had the team riding high before experiencing some bad fortune during the second half of the campaign.
