Useful ex-Flat performers Cadeau d’Or and Galahad Threepwood both shaped well on their respective hurdling debuts last season, but Quid Pro Quo (2:55) looked hugely promising when winning a Hereford bumper and is given the nod in Warwick’s maiden hurdle. He was slightly disappointing at Huntingdon under a penalty, but he is bred to be smart (half-brother to Gypsy Island) and on the back of a wind-op and wearing a first-time tongue-tie, Dan Skelton’s six-year-old is fancied to make a winning return.
