Three to follow on Thursday

Our recent frustrating run continued on Tuesday with Scottish Dancer (5/1) beaten a nose at Ayr and The Questioner (3/1) finishing full of running in second at Southwell having been constantly denied a run from three out. He is a winner without a penalty, but the cat is very much out of the bag.

I am not convinced the Jonjo O’Neill yard are firing on all cylinders, and I will be m0nitoring their runners closely at Bangor-on-Dee on Wednesday with regard to ITSO FURY who makes his hurdles debut having finished placed in all four Bumpers.

The selection is half-brother to a couple of Bumper winners and cost E115,000 after finishing second at Fairyhouse in April 2021. You would have to say that he was subsequently disappointing, but the hope is that he is a different proposition over jumps.

Charlie Longsdon has declared soft ground Irish point winner No Word and a market move would be significant given the handler saddled Rare Edition to beat the selection back in the spring. Note the trainer had the winner of the corresponding race in 2014 and 15.

Recommendation: 2.11 Warwick – Itso Fury

There are few Juddmonte owned juveniles who begin life handicapping from a mark in the fifties, but CLASSIC ORDER made a mockery of his rating when scoring at Kempton in first time blinkers stepped up to 7f for the first time. The application of headgear and switch to polytrack looks to have been the making of him.

The gelding overcame a poor draw in stall twelve to win by more than 4L last time and a 9lbs rise may not prevent him following up. He has an excellent post in stall three this afternoon and Hector Crouch keeps the ride.

Recommendation: 2.19 Lingfield – Classic Order

WORLD WITHOUT LOVE is blinkered for the first time and I thought she ran a better race than her finishing position would suggest when fifth at Newcastle last time when she chased a suicidal early pace before fading into fifth.

If the headgear can eke out a bit of improvement, then she will surely be winning her share of races and this evening’s tapeta surface holds no terrors. She looks to me an each way bet to little as I will be very disappointed if she is out of the first three.

The market is headed by fellow three-year-old ICE HOUSE who ran her best race yet when third at Catterick on her handicap debut. The form was given a boost when fourth home Simply Shady was beaten half a length at Ayr on Tuesday. Note the second Two Brothers was recommended at Catterick on Wednesday.

The filly has only had four career starts, is a half-sister to five winners – some smart – and Adam Faragher can take off a valuable 5lbs. That said I wonder if these tight turns will suit her as she got readily outpaced at Catterick before finishing best of all.

That said I am loath to desert the Johnston runner who has vital all-weather experience.

Recommendation: 8.15 Wolverhampton – World Without Love EW
