Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Lac de Constance in the 1.00 at Exeter. | Free Bets |
Put up here on Saturday before Haydock was abandoned, Dan Skelton’s Lac de Constance (1:00) can defy top-weight in the opening novices’ handicap chase, if Exeter beats the weather on Tuesday. A fluid winner on debut at Kempton, he then unseated Harry Skelton at the same track in the Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase. He had jumped well before that, however, and was unbeaten in two starts at this track as a novice hurdler. The testing ground should not be an issue and he can give weight and a beating to former smart novice hurdler, Bear Ghylls, who won a handicap hurdle at this track two years ago.
