2000 Guineas entry KALEIDO (1:50) shaped with considerable promise on debut last October and is of interest on reappearance at Newmarket on Thursday. He has plenty of scope (no pun intended!) to improve for the Gosdens at three.
The second day of Cheltenham’s April meeting takes place but Sean Bowen heads to Ffos Las for a strong looking book of rides as he bids to end a first championship winning season on a high.
INDEEVAR BLEU (6:45) has always been held in high regard by Olly Murphy and on the back of a wind-op can win on handicap debut off a mark of 120. Better ground might help him.
The same connections’ Harbour Island should go close in division one of the bumper, despite shouldering a penalty, but stable-mate THE BLUE ROOM (7:45) looks to be in the weaker division. An eye-catcher in an Irish Point, he ran well at Aintree and although he possibly didn’t back that up at Exeter, might appreciate the less testing ground.
