Backing a horse at short odds on the back of two falls wouldn’t usually be advisable but CONSTITUTION HILL (6:40) is taken to end his campaign on a high, by beating State Man and Golden Ace in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle. James Bowen takes over in the saddle and I hope that he keeps it uncomplicated and allows the former champion to stride on.
Domestically, COSMIC YEAR (2:20) can land the King Charles II Stakes at Newmarket. Whilst the Kingman colt had the option of waiting for the 2000 Guineas the following day, his connections appear to be happy to stick to seven furlongs for now and he can maintain his 100% record.
