There is no jumps action in Britain today but Gowran stages a good National Hunt card, where FLEUR IN THE PARK (5:20) is marginally preferred to Taponthego in the concluding beginners chase. The latter beat McLaurey (Listed winner) on his second start and ended up finishing fourth in the Martin Pipe, but the selection comfortably beat him in a maiden hurdle just under a year ago and himself went on to contest six Graded novice events. He finished third behind Jasmin de Vaux at Punchestown when last seen and won’t mind coming back to an intermediate trip.
