Uttoxeter gets underway with the stronger of the two divisions of the 2m maiden hurdle, so I’m hoping that TIPTOPTIM (1:40) might be available at an each-way price. Jamie Snowden’s five-year-old looked green but highly promising in bumpers and although he might need further in time, returns with the stable in good order.
Over at Tipperary, GOLD DANCER (5:00) can win the Grade 3 novice chase. A winner at this track on debut, he beat a subsequent winner in this class at Galway and looks to be a progressive novice. The only slight concern is that his improved form seems to have coincided with better ground, although he won on heavy in France and it could just be that he is going to be a much better chaser.
