Down in grade, course-and-distance winner Starmount is sure to be popular in the novice hurdle at Wetherby, but he faces a promising sort in recent Catterick winner KAKA’S COUSIN (12:50). Whilst dropping in trip isn’t ideal, Starmount is sure to make this a test and he might be able to outstay Ben Pauling’s runner.
Down at Huntingdon, DOUBLE MEASURE (12:58) can get off the mark at the third attempt over hurdles. Runner-up to a nice sort on debut, Dan Skelton’s Uttoxeter bumper winner was then poorly positioned in a Grade 2 at Haydock. Ridden closer to the pace, he can win this.
