First up, Caroline Wozniacki is 3/10 fav (Boylesports) to reach the final against Vera Zvonareva, herself a 3/1 shot with Bet365. Wozniacki has marched her way through the rounds, knocking out a rejuvenated Maria Sharapova on the way, and is playing some great tennis. Her big forehand should be too much for Zvonareva and will look to make it back to back finals at the US Open. Zvonareva should put up a fight though and has put some technically superb performances in to make it this far; a 2-1 victory to Wozniacki is 10/3 with William Hill.
In the 2nd semi of the day, current champion Kim Clijsters is 1/2 fav with 888sport to see off Venus Williams (15/8 Betdaq). Clijsters has monstered her way through this tournament, with back to back wins over Stosur and Ivanovic with amazing shot placement. Williams has been nursing a knee injury which has forced her into wiser shot selection and a slower game but Clijsters will simply power past her to set up a repeat 2009 final with Wozniacki. Williams rarely goes down without a fight, so a 2-1 victory to Clijsters could be a wise bet at 3/1 with Paddy Power.
