Australia were the dominant team in a 1-1 drawn T20 series and can carry that confidence and performance at the shorter level into the ODI series.
England, 10/11 favs with Skybet, lost wickets too cheaply in both T20′s and while the ODI game is yet again a different beast, there were plenty of reasons for Australia to cheer and be optimistic.
Shane Watson is a constant menace in the short game and is Totesport’s 3/1 fav to top score. Pietersen has disappointed and Morgan went cheaply, leaving Bell as the outstanding candidate to top score for England at 4/1 (Ladbrokes). For an outside tip, look to Luke Wright to come in and save a ragged innings – he is 16′s at Stan James.
Australia can get off to a winning start and eye a series win at 11/10 (Paddy Power) and help attone for the humiliating Ashes loss.
