Bookies Cheering On 25/1 Tiger

Tiger Woods is being cheered on at 25/1 in the USPGA for the first time in a major tournament according to Ladbrokes.

Woods has proven the thorn in the bookies’ side consistently having cost the industry several million to date but for the first time he’s been completely shunned by punters who let him go off at 25/1.

Rory McIlroy is the best backed golfer and consequently the worst result in Atlanta along with Lee Westwood and Rickie Fowler who have also proven popular.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve never known a situation like this. Tiger has been our worst enemy over time but he’d be one of the best results this weekend.”

He added: “Punters just don’t want to know. Westwood is all the rage and McIloy would be as bad a result as Tiger in his pomp.”
