Tigers 2/1 to top the table

Leicester Tigers are 2/1 favs with Ladbrokes to win the Premiership Grand Final and also 2/1 to top the regular season table.

Saracens, despite the prospect of Chris Ashton’s first season, are pretty much untouched at 10/3 to lift the trophy. Ashton shares the lead of the top tryscorer market with Gloucester’s Charlie Sharples, both coming in at 10/1.

Northampton Saints have also been shunned in the betting, last season’s fourth place 5/1 shots with Ladbrokes.

Newcomers London Welsh are into 8/13 to finish bottom.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Tigers underperformed at the start of last season, but without the World Cup this year punters have latched onto the fact that the powerhouse of Premiership rugby will be determined to get their trophy back.”
