Manchester United are now joint favourites with Manchester City at 13/8 (Coral) for the Premier League crown after their 2-1 triumph at Liverpool.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men weren’t at their best at Anfield and benefitted from some controversial refereeing but Coral have nevertheless clipped them from 2/1 to 13/8 to clinch top spot.
Chelsea lead the way after a 1-0 success against Stoke and they’re 4/1 at Coral for the title, with Arsenal in to 8/1 from 12s in the wake of their 1-1 stalemate at City.
Liverpool meanwhile, are still searching for their first victory after their unfortunate defeat and Brendan Rodgers is now 8/1 to be the first manager out of a job. The 39-year-old is 11/2 to silence the critics by guiding the Reds to a top four finish.
Tim Reynolds of Coral told Betrescue, “The Premier League title betting is wide open so the next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting. United have to travel Tottenham next in the League, Arsenal host Chelsea and Manchester City travel to Craven Cottage, so the outright betting could completely change by this time next week,”
