Frankel is now 1/6 with Coral to end his illustrious career with yet another victory, this time in the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot.
The win would be the 14th in a row for Sir Henry Cecil’s unbeaten charge, who will face five rivals including the well-backed Cirrus Des Aigles, a 4-1 second favourite at Coral and 10/1 shot Nathaniel.
Coral’s David Stevens told Betrescue, “For the first time since Frankel’s seasonal reappearance in the Lockinge Stakes, we have actually seen support for one of his rivals, and as things stand we will be cheering the superstar on against Cirrus Des Aigles on Saturday.”
“In truth, Frankel’s incredible winning run has not been that costly,” he added, “his odds have often been far too short for most punters, and as we have always been massive fans of the colt, we have been keen to take on his opposition, in particular Canford Cliffs in last year’s Duel On The Downs and Excelebration on several occasions.”
