Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Thursday; Southfield Vic in the Ludlow 14:30. Compare odds and bet.
Paul Nicholls saddled three winners at Exeter yesterday, including the exciting pair of Ptit Zig and Tara Point, and the champion trainer can strike at Ludlow this afternoon with Southfield Vic (2:30).
The five-year-old looked a very useful prospect when winning a bumper on debut in April of last year and, though things didn’t quite go to plan last season, he ran a cracker on debut (again showing he goes well fresh) and ended the season with a sound second on his first start over timber.
The horse that beat him that day at Wincanton followed up next time and, assuming he has improved again over the summer, the Old Vic gelding sets a decent standard.
