Manc teams head Premier betting

With the new Premier League season drawing ever closer, the bookies are forecasting a return to Manchester dominance after Leicester’s famous title win in May. Free Bets |

5000/1 Leicester City were magnificent winners of the 2015/16 Premier League title and the Foxes are 28/1 (bet365) to follow this up with a successful title defence.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have stiff competition this term, with Manchester City trading at 9/4 favourites (Paddy Power) and Pep Guardiola is looking to revolutionise the squad at the Etihad Stadium.

Nolito and Ilkay Gundogan have already arrived at the club, with Pep having enjoyed title success with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, although the Spaniard might find things more competitive in England.

Manchester United have been well supported as we approach the start of the season, with Jose Mourinho’s arrival making punters sit up and take notice. The Red Devils are a 7/2 chance (Sky Bet) and the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be an inspired one.

Arsenal are third favourites, with William Hill chalking up 6/1 although you might think the Gunners are set to miss out after failing to get the job done last term. Their London rivals Tottenham have shown to be more progressive after last season and Sky Bet quote 9/1.

Chelsea are flying under the radar a little as the season approaches although Antonio Conte will be targeting a title tilt, with the Italian fresh from doing a commendable job with the Azzurri national team.

BetVictor are going 13/2 that the champions of 2014/15 are celebrating once again, with Conte looking to get the best from Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and Pedro.

Liverpool are now 9/1 with Paddy Power and the acquisition of Sadio Mane should add further competition for places in midfield, with Jurgen Klopp looking to build something special at Anfield.

Therefore, there are seven teams trading at single figures and the next best after Leicester is West Ham, with Slaven Bilic’s side available at 80/1 (bet365) if you think they can make the step up.
