Paul Ferguson has two selections from Punchestown for us on Tuesday; El Cairos at 4.15 and Lovely Hurling (N/R) at 4.50. | Free Bets |
It didn’t happen for EL CAIROS (4:15) at Cheltenham but he had earlier looked full of speed in two starts over hurdles and should have won a bumper at this fixture last year. The drying spring ground should prove ideal and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him bounce back in style at Punchestown on day one of the Festival.
Although he’s still a maiden over fences, LOVELY HURLING (4:50) is worthy of each-way support in the Champion Novice Chase. Stepping up markedly in distance, he is bred to stay and if settling, has every chance of improving for it. He also ran well at this meeting last year and arrives here fresher than most.
Tuesday’s selections:
4:15 Punchestown Festival – El Cairos; 9/4 Bet365
4:50 Punchestown Festival – Lovely Hurling; N/R
