FA Cup Team News

Check on all the latest injury and team news ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup fixtures before you place your bets.

Everton v Chelsea
EVERTON have a clean bill of health heading into the weekend with only James Vaughan leaving on loan and Tim Cahill missing through international duty. Frank Lampard will step back into the CHELSEA side after missing his side’s game at Bolton while Gael Kakuta has left the club in a loan deal and Yuri Zhirkov (calf) and Alex (knee) remain sidelined.

Swansea v Leyton Orient
SWANSEA have cancelled Shefki Kuqi’s contract while both Leon Britton and Stephen Dobbie are pushing for starts and Andrea Orlandi is fit again for selection but Neil Taylor (ankle) remains out. LEYTON ORIENT are worrying over the fitness of captain Stephen Dawson (leg) and Adam Chambers (hamstring) and will assess fitness up to the day.

Aston Villa v Blackburn
Luke Young is ready to return for VILLA, along with new signing Kyle Walker, but Stephen Ireland (knee) is ruled out and Jonathan Hogg has left on a loan deal to Portsmouth. Keith Andrews and Vince Grella are in contention for BLACKBURN but may not force their way into the first team while Ryan Nelsen should recover from a knee injury.

Birmingham v Coventry
Enric Valles (foot) and James McFadden (knee) are absent for BIRMINGHAM while Curtis Davies could feature if signed in time from Villa. Michael Doyle has left COVENTRY on a free transfer and Lee Carsley (Achilles) faces a few more weeks out while Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed he will not rush Ben Turner back into the team this weekend.

Bolton v Wigan
Ivan Klasnic targets a return to action for BOLTON this weekend but Ricardo Gardner and Joey O’Brien (both knee) are still doubts. Defender Antolin Alcaraz (soft tissue) faces a few weeks out injured for WIGAN and Chris Kirkland (head) is still a doubt with concussion but Gary Caldwell is available after suspension and Tom Cleverley is pushing for a recall.

Burnley v Burton Albion
BURNLEY’s Leon Cort is to stay out on loan for the rest of the campaign but the Clarets are buoyed by the news that ‘keeper Brian Jensen is set to stay and Martin Paterson should be fit. Shaun Harrad has left BURTON ALBION but striker Calvin Zola has come in on a six-month loan and 16-year old Nathan Redmond could find himself involved on the bench.

Sheff Wed v Hereford
Luke Boden has left SHEFF WEDS by mutual consent and Tommy Miller (calf) is likely to miss out again while defenders Jon Otsemobor (calf) and Lewis Buxton (hamstring) are both out. HEREFORD continue without striker Mathieu Manset after left for Reading and Ryan Green pushes for a start after returning from suspension but there are no other concerns.

Stevenage v Reading
Stacy Long and Yemi Odubade are in contention for STEVENAGE after missing the last two games and Luke Daley is hoping for his first start but Darren Murphy (shoulder) is out. Mathieu Manset is pushing for his debut for READING but Simon Church is hoping to retain his place following a rare start while Noel Hunt should be fit again following a knock.

Torquay v Crawley
TORQUAY have secured the services of Joe Oastler for the rest of the season and Gulls boss Paul Buckle could bring Ashley Hemmings and Billy Kee into the side following last weekend’s draw. Jamie Cook is pushing for a start for CRAWLEY after a goal from the bench last weekend and the hero of the last round, Sergio Torres, is fit to play.

Watford v Brighton
Eddie Oshodi has left WATFORD on a loan deal but Rob Kiernan has come back to the club and Andreas Weimann could be handed his first start as Don Cowie (thigh) will be out for a fortnight. BRIGHTON have no new injuries to contend with but Alan Navarro (knee), Jamie Smith (foot) and Jim McNulty (ankle) all remain in the treatment room.

Southampton v Man Utd
Loan capture Dany N’Guessan could go straight into the SOUTHAMPTON squad while boss Nigel Adkins will check on the fitness of Adam Lallana (knee) and Dean Hammond (calf). UNITED full-back Rafael has concussion and sits this one out, Rio Ferdinand (groin) and Michael Carrick (ankle) are nearing full fitness but may not be risked.

Arsenal v Huddersfield – Sun
Bacary Sagna suffered concussion in midweek and misses out for ARSENAL, Samir Nasri and Theo Walcott are pushing for recalls after missing Tuesday’s Carling Cup clash with Ipswich. HUDDERSFIELD striker Jordan Rhodes is sidelined with ankle ligament damage but Gary Naysmith is closing in on a return from a toe injury.

Wolves v Stoke – Sun
WOLVES midfielder Adam Hammill is cup-tied but Jody Craddock, Steven Mouyokolo, George Elokobi and Dave Edwards are all in contention after featuring for the reserves in midweek. Upset at the scheduling of the fixture, STOKE boss Tony Pulis could ring the changes and he will have to do without the suspended Ryan Shawcross.

Notts County v Man City – Sun
Lee Hughes played 45 minutes for COUNTY on Tuesday and could start after recovering from a calf injury but Krystian Pearce has concussion while Alan Gow, Mike Edwards, Mike Judge and Ricky Ravenhill are also doubts. CITY striker Mario Balotelli has seen a specialist about his knee injury while Emmanuel Adebayor has left the club.

West Ham v Nott’m Forest – Sun
WEST HAM new boy Gary O’Neil is cup-tied, Manuel Da Costa has an ankle injury and Valon Behrami has joined Fiorentina but Victor Obinna and Frederic Piquionne return from suspension. FOREST have no fresh injury concerns but Billy Davies will continue to leave out Kelvin Wilson, Joe Garner and Julian Bennett who look set to depart.

Fulham v Tottenham – Sun
FULHAM manager Mark Hughes can’t call on Gael Kakuta as the midfielder is cup-tied but the Cottagers have no fresh injury concerns. Gareth Bale is out with a back problem for SPURS, Robbie Keane is unlikely to feature as he eyes the exit door but Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Wilson Palacios hope to return from minor knee injuries.
