Tigers To Show Their Claws

A resurgent Hull are 11/5 with William Hill to beat QPR at the KC Stadium in a reduced Championship programme this weekend.

The FA Cup fourth round this weekend has drastically reduced the Championship programme but there’s still value to be had on Saturday and we think the place to look is the KC Stadium where Hull entertain leaders QPR.

The rejuvenated Tigers have lost just one of their last dozen matches and tend to keep things tight on their own patch, where they have conceded just six goals in 13 matches. They look a touch big at 11/5 with William Hill to overcome Neil Warnock’s side, who arrive having won three of their last eight.

That’s not exactly title form, although it’s worth noting that Rangers have lost just three matches all season, all of those defeats coming in that eight-match spell, so they’re not a team that goes down without a fight. They have also drawn six times on the road and so the stalemate has be considered a threat to any bets on the hosts.

Subsequently, it could be prudent to play things a touch safer by backing Nigel Pearson’s men ‘Draw No Bet’ at 5/4 with Paddy Power.

With the teams around them inactive and QPR facing that tough trip to Hull, Norwich have an opportunity to boost their promotion chances as they head to struggling Crystal Palace and the Canaries can collect all three points at Selhurst Park to move into second place.

The Eagles’ results under Dougie Freedman have been a mixed bag and although their home record is reasonable, a goalless draw with Bristol City last weekend didn’t do much to help their bid to avoid relegation. Norwich meanwhile have racked up more away points than anyone else in the Championship and a modest flutter on them here at 6/4 () is worth considering.

Also at 6/4, this time with 888Sport, are Scunthorpe ahead of their relegation six-pointer with Preston but it’s looks like a fixture that should be given a wide berth from a betting perspective.
