Last year’s winner, Joncol, is 13/8 favourite with Coral for a repeat success in the Hennessy Gold Cup, after the entries for the rearranged Leopardstown highlight were unveiled today. Money Trix, runner-up in the last two runnings of the Lexus Chase at the course, is 4/1 second favourite, ahead of the Willie Mullins-trained pair of Cooldine and Kempes, 5/1 and 13/2 respectively.
“With the former ante post favourite Pride Of Dulcote now heading to Ascot next week, Joncol heads the betting to repeat last year’s Hennessy success, with Money Trix his closest rival in the betting thanks to his two second spots in the Lexus Chase,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Looking further ahead, Jessies Dream has been in demand for the RSA Chase, and is now 8/1 clear second favourite with Coral (from 10/1) behind Time For Rupert at 9/4.
