Sergio Garcia heads back to Valencia to try and win the Castello Masters as 8/1 fav with Skybet, an event he won in 2008 and came 4th at in 2009. Garcia had a good run up to the BMW Champs, an event he was T12, but has since taken a month off and looks to win in Spain fully refreshed.
Tom Lewis will be the focus of UK based attention as he aims to win back to back titles, making him 33/1 to do so. Lewis became the quickest player to get his maiden win last week and his obvious talent will draw many backers.
Current champion Matteo Manassero is 16/1 to defend his title (Ladbrokes) but with a collection of lower order finishes, he needs to up his game to be in with a chance.
Thomas Aiken’s burst of good form sees him priced up at 28/1 with Paddy Power and the South African could be a good back at 7/2 to make the top 10 (Coral).
Of the home players, Ignacio Garrido is worth keeping an eye on; he is Boylesports’ 50/1 chance. Garrido was runner-up here last year, building on 2009’s T33, and he is well worth considering each way, 1/4 odds for the top 5.
