Lie Forrit and Abbeybraney have both seen support today in the Scottish National, Coral shortening them to 12/1 and 25/1 respectively.
The pair of Hawick-trained runners trained by Willie Amos (Lie Forrit) and George Bewley (Abbeybraney) have been pushed in for the Ayr showpiece from 16/1 and 40/1. Sir Alex Ferguson’s Harry The Viking remains 6/1 favourite.
“Merigo was a popular ‘home’ winner of Scotland’s biggest race two years ago, and the money for Lie Forrit and Abbeybraney suggests the prize could be staying North of the border once again, although another proud Scotsman, Sir Alex Ferguson, will be hoping that’s not the case,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
