Dawn Approach is the 5/2 favourite at Stan James to win the 2000 Guineas next year after his victory at Newmarket.
Jim Boulger’s colt reeled in Leitir Mor to scoop the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at HQ, where he was a strong favourite, and as a result Stan James cut him from 4/1 to 5/2 for next year’s Classic.
The firm’s Rory Jiwani told Betrescue, “We laid plenty of bets on Dawn Approach for the 2000 Guineas and he was far too good for his rivals including impressive Doncaster winner Ashdan. We’ve cut him from 4/1 to 5/2 for next year’s 2000 Guineas and 12/1 to 5/1 for the Epsom Derby.
“Reckless Abandon gamely held off old foe Moohaajim to take the Middle Park and we’ve cut Clive Cox’s charge from 28/1 to 16/1 for the 2000 Guineas, ” he added, “Moohaajim remains unchanged at 20/1 for the first Classic of 2013.”
