William Haggas has his string in fine form, having saddled seven winners seven placed horses from 22 runners over the past 10 days, and the Newmarket handler can strike on Bank Holiday Monday with I Say (4:05) in the extended mile maiden at Windsor.
The Oratorio filly shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up at Newbury on her sole start at two and a Ribblesdale entry suggests she remains well regarded. She looked a sure-fire future winner when chasing home Secret Gesture on heavy ground last October and, with the quicker ground likely to suit, she sets a fair standard.
Jessie Harrington provided us with a winner on Saturday courtesy of Burn And Turn and she can strike again today in the opener at Down Royal with Cailin Annamh (2:25) who won a good ground bumper at Wexford in October.
The daughter of Definite Article improved on that form when last seen, however, finishing runner-up to the smart Legacy Gold (since fetched £210,000 at the sales) in the Listed mares event at Aintree.
That piece of form stands out in this company and she ought to be difficult to beat on her hurdles debut under Robbie Power.
