BetVictor have cut Hearts from 12/1 to just 7/4 to finish bottom of the SPL after details emerged of the financial crisis at Tynecastle.
The Jambos put their entire squad up for sale this week in an attempt to raise revenue after a huge drop in season ticket sales and it is believed the Edinburgh club are currently around £25 million in debt.
Hearts urgently need to find a six-figure sum immediately and with things looking bleak off the pitch for the Gorgie outfit, punters have backed that to be reflected on it.
Relegated Dundee meanwhile, are all the rage in the Division One title betting north of the border and BetVictor have subsequently trimmed them to 6/4 to top the pile.
Rangers are 1/8 at BetVictor to win Division Two, with Peterhead the firm’s 7/4 favourites in the Third Division betting.
BetVictor’s Spokesperson Charlie McCann told Betrescue: “At present all punters want to know is Dundee for League 1 and Hearts to finish bottom of the SPL; these are worrying times at Hearts and whatever upbeat noises are coming out of Tynecastle punters believe there will be a fire sale of their playing assets this summer and have backed them from 12s to 7/4 including a bet of £2000 at 3/1.”
