Paul Ferguson has two selections from The Curragh for us on Sunday; Gleneagles in 16:05 and Giant’s Quest at 17:10. Compare odds and bet.
Aidan O’Brien took last year’s Futurity Stakes with War Command and Gleneagles (4:05) is fancied to make it back-to-back wins for the yard.
The Galileo colt is progressing nicely and confirmed his improvement when reversing maiden form with Convergence in the Group 3 Tyros Stakes over this trip at Leopardstown last month. He looks as though he will appreciate a more strongly run race and looks the one to beat.
Later on the card Giant’s Quest (5:10) – a winner for this column over hurdles last month – is worth supporting in the competitive looking 2m handicap. The eight-year-old is in fine form at present and looks sure to run a big race.
Sunday’s selections:
4:05 Curragh: Gleneagles; 6/5 Stan James
5:10 Curragh: Giant’s Quest; 10/1 bet365
