A winner for this column at Fontwell on his recent chase debut VIVAS (3:50) is fancied to defy a 5lb rise at Plumpton today.
Charlie Longsdon’s seven-year-old jumped really well and probably would have won more easily had the final fence not been omitted. The Longsdon yard remains in good order and he can beat two decent rivals here.
Call To Order boasts the experience and Knocknanuss was the best of these over hurdles. He’s a free going sort who will attempt to make all, but that could play into Vivas’ hands who ought to appreciate the strong pace. If he jumps as he did on debut, I fancy him to follow up.
