National Hunt fans are in for a treat today, with some fantastic racing up and down the country, from the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury to the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle.
The day’s selection comes in the opening race from Bangor-On-Dee, where Euxton Lane (12:20) is fancied to get off the mark at the second time of asking over fences. Oliver Sherwood’s imposing six-year-old won twice over hurdles in March and made a pleasing start to his chasing career when third in a very competitive event at Carlisle. With that run under his belt, he should take some beating here.
