An impressive winner over course-and-distance on debut RIBBLE VALLEY (3:45) went on to finish sixth in a Listed event at Cheltenham.
That race was rather unsatisfactory given there was no real pace on and the fourth and fifth have both won over hurdles since. Nicky Richards’ Westerner gelding sets a good standard and can bounce back under an in-form Brian Hughes.
