I’m looking forward to seeing the Nick Williams-trained pairing in the novices’ hurdle at Ffos Las on Sunday, with Uttoxeter winner Prudhomme likely to be sent off at prohibitive odds, so it is off to Sandown for the day’s sole selection.
Champagne Court (1:15) signed off as a hurdler with a sound second in the Silver Trophy at Chepstow last month and Jeremy Scott’s six-year-old can make a winning start over fences.
Runner-up in a couple of Irish Points, he appeals as the type to do well as a chaser and with his stable in good form, he can make the perfect start under Nick Scholfield.
