A non-runner due to problems in the stalls last month, Alargedram (7:30) is worth another chance at Sandown on Thursday evening.
Alan King’s three-year-old was an eye-catcher more than once last term and should relish the longer trip, as well as the stiff finish at Sandown. A big son of Lope de Vega, he is one who I expected to improve at three, hopefully picking up a race or two, before he goes juvenile hurdling.
