Fergie’s Tuesday racing tips

Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Tuesday; The Bees Knees in the Newton Abbot 13:00 and Dewcup 14:30 at Punchestown. Compare odds and bet.

Only third on reappearance THE BEES KNEES (1:00) should improve for going hurdling over a slightly longer trip.

Twice placed in bumpers, the former winning Irish Pointer has travelled well on both starts for Fergal O’Brien, and if ridden a little more positively, he can make the most of the 6lbs he receives from Calum Gilhooley.

Over in Ireland DEWCUP (2:30) is also fancied to make a winning debut over hurdles, for Ted Walsh.

A bumper winner at this track (twice a winner in that sphere and also finished fourth behind McFabulous in the Grade 2 at Aintree) he should be fit from a couple of recent Flat runs, and he’s another decent recruit.

Tuesday’s selections:
1:00 Newton Abbot – The Bees Knees; 3/1 Paddy Power
2:30 Punchestown – Dewcup; 1/1 Bet365
