THE JUKEBOX KID (12:40) put in an exemplary round of jumping on debut at Carlisle and can defy both the 9lb rise and top-weight at Cheltenham on Saturday. Ben Pauling’s six-year-old remains very lightly-raced and looks sure to appreciate the longer trip.
Jagwar looks to be the class act in the December Gold Cup – kindly run in aid of the Support The Hunt Family Fund – but arrives here without a prep run and with his stable still out of form somewhat.
So, the second selection comes in the 2m handicap and DAVID’S WELL (2:25) who made it 3-3 over fences at Haydock three weeks ago. Clearly on an upward curve, he enjoys soft ground and can continue his progression.
