Fergie’s Saturday racing tips

Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Saturday; Quebecois in the 3.35 and Keops des Bordes 4.48 both at Ayr. | Free Bets |

The Scottish Grand National looks as competitive as ever, but QUEBECOIS (3:35) ran a cracker in the Ultima and won at this fixture last year over hurdles. Blow Your Wad, Iroko and Johnnywho have since given the Cheltenham form a boost and back at a track where he has won before, the novice can strike for Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden.

Old Habits and Skerry Hill are previous winners worthy of respect in the closing bumper, but they have to give 4lb to KEOPS DES BORDES (4:48) and that could be a tough ask. The selection bumped into No Drama This End in a Warwick bumper when last seen and had beaten a Grade 2 winner in his Point-to-Point.

Saturday’s selections:
3:35 Ayr – Quebecois; 12/1 William Hill
4:48 Ayr – Keops des Bordes; 11/4 Bet365
