Runner-up in Listed company last time, THE FLAGGY SHORE (4:45) sets a good standard in the mares’ bumper at Ascot and can defy the penalty under Ben Jones.
Over at Gowran Park, it will be disappointing if IMPAIRE ET PASSE (3:40) can’t make a winning reappearance in the Red Mills Chase. Off since being brought down at Punchestown last spring, he has won three of his five starts over fences and can land this before heading back to Aintree, where he has won in each of the past two seasons.
