Fergie’s Punchestown racing tips

Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Saturday; Martin Midi Et Soir in the 4.55 and Jump Allen 5.30 both at the Punchestown Festival. | Free Bets |

JUMP ALLEN (5:30) was a big eye-catcher in the Martin Pipe and is fancied to win the 2m4f handicap hurdle on the final day of the Punchestown Festival. Given that was his belated return, he will be fresher than most and won’t mind conditions, having won on good ground at Sandown last spring.

Earlier on the card, I’m prepared to take a chance on MATIN MIDI ET SOIR (4:55) in the Champion Four Year Old Hurdle. Off for 226 days, his French form is good and the Triumph form doesn’t look insurmountable. The ground is an unknown but on breeding he should cope with it.

Saturday’s selections:
4:55 Punchestown Festival – Matin Midi Et Soir; 7/1 Bet365
5:30 Punchestown Festival – Jump Allen; 9/4 Betfred
