Paul Ferguson has three selections for us on Saturday; Jax Junior 2.25 Kempton, Double Measure 3.00 Kempton and Bande Organisee 5.18 at Chepstow. | Free Bets |
Kempton stages a cracking card on Saturday, where JAX JUNIOR (2:25) can win the Pendil Novices’ Chase. A course winner in November, he ran out a convincing winner in handicap company at Sandown last time and both better ground and the longer trip should suit. Lucy Wadham is in fine form at present and her seven-year-old can win this en route to Aintree (possibly) rather than Cheltenham.
The Dovecote can go the way of DOUBLE MEASURE (3:00) for Dan and Harry Skelton. Steadily progressive over hurdles, he won easily at Huntingdon last time and looks sure to be suited by a more truly run race.
The bumper looks a very good race and should be watched closely (Ma Wang des Bois is one in particular to note, but it looks very competitive). The Chepstow bumper looks much more winnable so the final selection comes from Monmouthshire, in the shape of Rebecca Curtis’ BANDE ORGANISEE (5:18).
A faller in a couple of Points, he finished third in a strong bumper on Rules debut after playing up in the prelims. The first, second and fourth have won from that race since and under similar conditions, the five-year-old can strike.
