Some nice young horses are in action at Carlisle on Sunday, perhaps none more so than Cristal d’Estruval in the opener. He is sure to be a very short price, whilst a novice hurdler to side with is STRIDE ON (1:10). Runner-up to the exciting Upon Tweed on debut, he’ll relish the stiffer test and should be tough to beat in the maiden.
SAPPHOS WORD (2:48) will also like this stiffer track, having bumped into a subsequent Listed second at Uttoxeter, where more use could have been made of her. She ought to be hard to beat under a more positive ride.
