Fergie’s Tuesday racing tips

Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Tuesday; Bras d’Or in the 12.48 and Meetmebythesea 2.18 both at Ayr. | Free Bets |

Ayr stages a good card on Tuesday and it could be a good day for owner JP McManus. In receipt of 7lb from the previous winners, BRAS D’OR (12:48) is fancied to win the opening novice hurdle. He shaped well in his bumper and twice to date over hurdles.

The novice chase is a cracking contest and whilst Fingle Bridge could be a class above, his jumping hasn’t been foot perfect in two starts to date and at the likely prices (assuming he will be short), he can be taken on with MEETMEBYTHESEA (2:18) who jumped nimbly when winning on debut at Wetherby and is actually only rated 1lb below Olly Murphy’s runner. Ben Pauling’s six-year-old looks most progressive.

Tuesday’s selections:
12:48 Ayr – Bras d’Or; 11/8 Ladbrokes
2:18 Ayr – Meetmebythesea; 13/8 Bet365
