Paul Ferguson has four selections for us on Tuesday; Old Park Star 1.20, Kopek des Bordes 2.00, McLaurey 4.40 and Newton Tornado 5.20 all at Cheltenham. | Free Bets |
Cheltenham gets underway with a strong renewal of the Supreme, in which OLD PARK STAR (1:20) is fancied to strike for Nicky Henderson. Unbeaten in three starts over hurdles, he is a strong stayer at the trip.
Henderson runs Lulamba in the Arkle, but last year’s Supreme winner KOPEK DES BORDES (2:00) is fancied to defy inexperience. Off since winning on chase debut, his natural talent can get him home in front.
Later on the card MCLAUREY (4:40) can win the Plate for Emmet Mullins and JP McManus, who should enjoy a good week in handicaps. Yet to win over fences, he has caught the eye a couple of times and looks well treated.
And, Rebecca Curtis is fancied to win a third National Hunt Chase. Successful with Haiti Couleurs last year, NEWTON TORNADO (5:20) is fancied to strike this time around, with the longer trip likely to suit.
Tuesday’s selections:

2:00 Cheltenham – Kopek des Bordes; 6/4 Ladbrokes
4:40 Cheltenham – McLaurey; 5/1 Ladbrokes
5:20 Cheltenham – Newton Tornado; 11/2 William Hill
