Although he was beaten by the best part of 9 lengths, by a couple of stable companions, on debut in November, ATOMIC CITY (4:52) shaped with a good deal of promise and was probably hindered by heavy ground. A staying type, he’ll appreciate the extra furlong and should also improve for that winter break.
