Paul Ferguson has two selections from Warwick for us on Monday; Imperial Eloquence at 1.30 and Oscar Rose at 2.05. Compare odds and bet.
Fergal O’Brien enjoyed a magnificent 2016-17 season and he can get the ball rolling on day one of the new campaign at Warwick on Bank Holiday Monday, where he saddles a couple of smart bumper performers on their respective hurdling debuts.
Imperial Eloquence (1:30) can land the opening 2m3f novices’ hurdle, having twice finished placed at Listed level before finishing down the pack in the Champion Bumper last time.
A winner at Hexham last March, the step up in trip ought to suit and he looks to have the smart ex-Flat performer Celestial Path to beat.
Stable-companion Oscar Rose (2:05) was a winner at Listed level and she was beaten just a half-length by Dame Rose at Aintree in a Grade 2 most recently.
Her best form has come on decent ground and she can score, probably at the main expense of the Dan Skelton-trained Seelateralligator, who also looks a nice recruit from the bumper ranks.
I’m taking a break for a couple of weeks after today and will be back in action from Wednesday 17th May, which is day one of the Dante meeting at York. In the meantime, enjoy the action.
