Live on Skysports 2: Thu 11.30: Martin Kaymer and Peter Hanson are 10/1 and 16/1 (both Skybet) in this week’s Portugal Masters.
Kaymer doesn’t really have the form to back up the 10/1 clear favourite tag with Skybet (but he certainly has the ability) where as Peter Hanson has been in roaring form, going from 9th at the Dunhill Links to 6th in Madrid and at 16/1 (also Skybet) is a much more attractive bet.
One who is definitely out to impress is Francesco Molinari who looks to build on his T6 in Madrid last week. Stan James make him 16/1 to win the Portugal Masters while and each way bet sees you get 4/1 for the top 5. Lee Slattery is 100/1 with Ladbrokes to make it back to back wins after breaking his duck.
Richard Green is out to defend his title this week, bet365 making him 50/1 to do so and the Australian returns to action following a 7 week layoff. Following a 2nd place at the Irish Open, Green tailed off a touch but could be one to watch here.
Alvaro Quiros was there or there abouts last week in Madrid until a fairly disastrous 4th round, perhaps inflating his price this week a touch to 33/1 (Totesport). Quiros is out to regain the trophy he won in 2009 and he certaily knows his way around and could be another each way gamble.
