Royal Ascot Market Movers: Tuesday 15th

HORSE RACING: A look at some of Royal Ascot’s market moves in the ante post horse racing markets and also at some of today’s races. Compare latest odds for ante post horse racing.

&assetPunters looking for clues for the big field races on the straight course at Royal Ascot this week were given an early indicator on Sunday when clerk Chris Stickels issued GoingStick readings which suggest that the far rail has an edge over the stands’ side.

The readings for the straight course on Sunday afternoon were 9.0 on the stands’ side, 8.8 on the centre and 9.2 on the far side. The round course reading was 8.5

Coventry Stakes:
Stan James have cut Zoffany in to 7/2 from 11/2 after Ballydoyle opted to put Johnny Murtagh on board, a slightly surprising move. Ryan Moore alights Samuel Morse who consequently has been pushed out to 4/1 from 11/4 (also Stan James).

Bet365 have also taken a wedge off Zoffany, going to 3/1 from 4/1.

Strong Suit, the fancied fav, has been pushed to 5/2 from 11/4 by most firms including Victor Chandler but William Hill remain at 11/4.

Prince of Wales’s Stakes:
Early in the day movement for Twice Over who is moved to a market low of 7/2 from 4/1 by Totesport, possibly an indicator of things to come this morning.

Sportingbet fall into line by shortening fav Byword into 3/1 from 7/2, in line with the majority.

Royal Hunt Cup:
Mull Of Killough is moved into 14/1 by both Totesport and Sportingbet, from 20/1 and 16’s respectively.

Ascot Gold Cup:
Outsider Bannaby is clipped in to 25/1 from 33/1 by William Hill.

Kite Wood has come into 7/1 from 10’s with Sportingbet, leading Godolphin’s charge and was rumoured to be chosen by Dettori, it looks like that rumour may be bearing fruit.

The final decs have been released (14.00), and are as follows;
Manifest 11/4 (bet365)
Age Of Aquarius 9/2 (Victor Chandler)
Ask 6/1 (Paddy Power)
Kasbah Bliss 7/1 (SkyBet)
Kite Wood 8/1 (Stan James)
Darley Sun 12/1 (William Hill)
Akmal 16/1 (Stan James)
Rite Of Passage 16/1 (Totesport)
Purple Moon 33/1 (Paddy Power)
Bannaby 33/1 (Ladbrokes)
Clowance 100/1 (Victor Chandler)
Tastahill 66/1 (Boylesports)
Montaf 100/1 (Bet365)

Golden Jubilee Stakes:
Kinsale King has attracted some attention after a good workout at Newmarket yesterday, Stan James moving into 8/1 from 10’s.

Coral have taken initial steps in the market to shorten Fleeting Spirit, who goes to 6/1 from 8’s, the first firm to make such a move.

Wokingham Heritage Handicap:
Hawkeyethenoo and Genki are neck and neck favs at 8/1 but Sportingbet have decided to take decisive action to shorten Genki to 7/1 outright fav.

Jockeys:
Stan James cut Frankie Dettori from 14s to 10/1 to be top jockey at Royal Ascot after he got first pick at Godolphin’s stable.
