Premiership Team News

Get in the know before you make your bets; have a look at the latest news from the treatment tables around the Premier League.

Birmingham v Blackpool
Cameron Jerome (ankle) will likely step back into the BIRMINGHAM attack this weekend and Nikola Zigic is fit, despite what could have been a very injury against Arsenal but Jean Beausejour (knee) is doubtful. Louis Almond (shoulder) is in contention for BLACKPOOL but Ian Holloway may stick with the same XI that ran Man City close last weekend.

Chelsea v Wolves
Didier Drogba (virus) should return for CHELSEA but The Blues still have injury worries as Frank Lampard (hernia) and Alex (hip) will be lucky to recover in time. WOLVES have recalled David Davis from Walsall and he will go straight into the squad as Karl Henry (suspended) and Michael Mancienne (ineligible) are unavailable but Stephen Hunt could feature.

Sunderland v Aston Villa
SUNDERLAND have confirmed Darren Bent (groin) is fit to play and Craig Gordon is in contention for a start after 90 minutes for the reserves. Luke Young (hamstring) is out for up to 3 weeks for VILLA and they must assess the fitness of Marc Albrighton (virus), Richard Dunne (ankle) and Emile Heskey (back) who could all potentially feature.

Tottenham v Everton
Rafael Van der Vaart goes straight back into the SPURS side after missing out midweek due to suspension and one it’s ‘one in one out’ in defence as Younes Kaboul (hamstring) could be drafted in but Ledley King (groin) is sidelined again. EVERTON could call on Louis Saha but have revealed Marouane Fellaini (hamstring) could miss 6 matches.

West Brom v Fulham
Peter Odemwingie (knee) has a good chance of returning to fitness for WEST BROM this weekend and Ishmael Miller is on standby pending fitness but Marek Cech (ankle) will have to wait. FULHAM have revealed long-term absentee Andy Johnson has an outside chance of being selected but Danny Murphy (groin) will have to sit this one out.

Wigan v Bolton
Roberto Martinez has no fresh injury concerns and a practically fully fit WIGAN squad to choose from this weekend. Aside from the longer-term problems of Jay-Lloyd Samuel (calf) and Ricardo Gardner (thigh), BOLTON also have no new injury concerns but face 1 match without striker Ivan Klasnic after his late cameo included a red card.

West Ham v Newcastle
Matthew Upson (neck) slots straight back into WEST HAM’S defence but Thomas Hitzlsperger (thigh) has been confirmed as a long-term injury concern. Skipper Kevin Nolan returns for NEWCASTLE, Danny Simpson is fit for selection should he be needed and Andy Carroll will play despite recent off-pitch issues but defender Sol Campbell (thigh) is sidelined.

Stoke v Man United – Sunday
STOKE front man Ricardo Fuller is likely to feature despite aggravating a shoulder injury last weekend and Tony Pulis has no other new injury worries. It remains to be seen if Wayne Rooney will play for MAN UTD again and Ryan Giggs (hamstring) will certainly miss out but Park Ji-Sung will be in the squad after overcoming his knee injury.

Liverpool v Blackburn – Sunday
Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard return for LIVERPOOL after a midweek rest while duo Glen Johnson (thigh) and Dan Agger (virus) will be assessed right up until Sunday and Christian Poulsen is fit. Christopher Samba is suspended for BLACKBURN but they have no new injury concerns and could utilise Vince Grella following his return to training.

Man City v Arsenal – Sunday
Kolo Toure (hamstring) will not recover in time to face his old club but brother Yaya will step back into the MAN CITY team as will Emmanuel Adebayor after a Europa hattrick. Aleksandar Kolaraov (knee) is still out but remarkably Mario Balotelli could make the bench. ARSENAL welcome back captain Cesc Fabregas and Laurent Koscielny nears a return.
